Folium Partners, Inc. will offer free Folium Book Studio training sessions on Cisco? WebEx? beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2012. The limited-seating web seminar sessions are open to independent writers and publishers interested in learning more about new industry options for e-book layout design, cover art design, and EPUB format conversion. Prior to the launch of Folium Book Studio, these parts of the e-publishing process have been difficult and expensive for authors and small-to-medium publishers to accomplish.

The orthopaedic and pain management practice has volunteered to man tents at the home build site and pass out fruit and water to the hundreds of volunteers working round the clock to build a new home in just seven days for the Disabled Army Veteran. Dr. Cyr also will provide massage treatments for the many workers on site who will labor 24/7 to make this dream come true for a deserving Army Veteran.

In addition, Dr. Cyr made a large cash contribution, which is being given to the United Service Organizations (USO) in the Veteran’s name. The donation will be used to purchase communication devices for use overseas. Active duty airmen, soldiers and seaman will be able to talk with their loved ones, free of charge from a number of USO sites located in Europe. Dr. Cyr’s donation will also be used to purchase Kindles for the USO so that our Armed Forces serving away form home can read books electronically.
